By donating to the Green Castle Aero Club Foundation, you are making an enormous contribution to future aspiring pilots, our amazing aviation community, and our special airport in southeastern Iowa. Here are 5 impactful ways your support can make a difference!
- The Bill Kimble Flight Scholarship: Covers all the expenses for Phase I of a young person's flight training.
- "Help Buy the Farm!": Donor support enabled Green Castle to purchase the property on which the Club and airport sits. When put up for sale in 2022, your donations gave us the capital necessary to enter into a purchase contract. Continued support will allow us to pay down that debt until we own it outright!
- Community Outreach: Green Castle loves to bring the community together! Both young and old alike experience the joy of aviation through special community outreach activities and events such as our annual Pumpkin Splat or Vintage Fly-Ins. Foundation support helps us cover some of the costs of these exciting events.
- Operating Expenses: Donations help Green Castle cover a wide range of daily expenses such as runway and lighting maintenance, aircraft repairs and upgrades, hangar improvements, and much more.
- Longevity & History: In 2023, the Green Castle Aero Club celebrated its 30th anniversary. With your gracious, ongoing support through this Foundation, the Club will thrive for another 30 years!
